Just start calling Doug Lamborn, “Congressman Toomey”.
Doug Lamborn will make a find stand-in for Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania, whose interests with the Club for Growth he’ll represent well in Congress. But what about Colorado’s?
On September 14, Toomey sent out a club bulletin summing up its activities in the Republican primaries:
“. . . the Club’s PAC scored its first-ever knockout of an incumbent when Tim Walberg defeated Rep. Joe Schwarz in the Michigan Republican primary. We accomplished something vitally important in Rhode Island despite the vote tally.”
“Politicians are risk-adverse. Every Republican in Congress knows what we did in Rhode Island. They realize that Club members donated an incredible $725,000 to Chafee’s challenger. They know that the Club for Growth PAC spent an additional $515,000, mostly on TV ads, and took a challenger from being down 2 to 1 in the polls to the edge of an upset. As senators cast their votes on key bills, wavering Republicans will have to wonder if they could withstand the same punishment.”

It amazes me that Republicans are going to vote for Doug Lamborn without really understanding that in form they’re voting for Doug Lamborn, but, in substance, they’re voting for the Club for Growth’s agenda on so many issues about which the electorate has not the slightest iota as to what that agenda is but which is against our interests in the 5th CD.

BUT–REST ASSURED–Pat Toomey will make certain that Doug Lamborn will be FULLY informed of what that agenda is and Pat will vote for it, through Doug. If Lamborn doesn’t lay down, he’ll be knocked down–and out of Congress.
Please, don’t send Congressman Toomey of Pennsylvania to represent Colorado’s 5th CD.
Don’t vote for Doug Lamborn.
My God, if you can’t vote for Jay Fawcett, then vote for Rich Hand or Gregory Hollister as write-ins. Both are Republicans.
